Job description

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) provides strategic leadership for the organisation’s technology vision, ensuring technology investments align with business objectives and deliver measurable value. The role is accountable for technology architecture, cyber security, digital innovation, and the reliable delivery of enterprise technology services and platforms. The CTO leads high-performing technology teams, drives continuous improvement, and fosters innovation to support organisational growth, resilience, and customer outcomes. Key duties and responsibilities The Registry Connect program at ASIC is looking for a CTO / CISO to undertake the following activities during the first 6 months: Lead a cyber-security review of ASIC’s Registry technology environment, including cyber security controls for target-state solutions to be delivered by RegistryConnect Tranche 2, and plans and opportunities to secure the legacy environment pending delivery of target state solutions by RegistryConnect Tranches 2 and 3. Lead the development of a defined target-state and migration approach for the ASIC Business Registers (Companies, Business Names) to the end of RegistryConnect Tranche 3 (FY2028-29 to FY2029-30), including consideration of technology strategy and cyber-security posture, to support planned migration of the Companies Register and Business Names Register to the target-state during Tranche 3. Identify opportunities to bring forward future planned activities from Tranche 3 with the goal of proving our approach to migration of the Business Registers during RegistryConnect Tranche 3 in order to improve confidence in the proposed delivery approach for Tranche 3.   Prepare for the onboarding of a technology delivery partner (or partners) following the planned Approach to Market for same.
