Senior Test Analyst

Every member of our division –no matter our role or location –contributes to that mission.  Key duties and responsibilities The role: Analyse user stories, business requirements, and technical specifications to derive functional and non functional test scenarios Conduct system, integration, and regression testing Work across multiple layers of application stacks (UI, API, backend) Maintain detailed documentation of test results and contribute to traceability Skills & Experience (General) Experience working in agile delivery environments Strong understanding of software testing principles, techniques, and defect lifecycle Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, HP ALM) Experience with test planning, execution, and reporting Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills Desirable Skills Experience with automation frameworks and scripting (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Python, Java, JavaScript) Knowledge of accessibility testing and Australian Government Digital Service Standards Exposure to cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, or equivalent) Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD environments ISTQB or equivalent testing certification Understanding of government processes, policies, and risk controls Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a one page pitch to address all criteria specified. Demonstrated experience in collaborative software testing, taking responsibility for managing and performing testing activities independently with well-developed testing skills (test planning, analysis and test case writing, test execution, defect management and reporting) Weighting: 25% 2. Demonstrated experience as a software tester worked on database systems including SQL Weighting: 25% 3. Strong ability in understanding and analysing business requirements/user stories from a software development viewpoint Weighting: 25% 4.
