Job description
Change Managers coordinate activities and communication in order to ensure project objectives are met and sustained. They focus on the people aspect of change including changes to business processes, tools and technology, job roles and organisation structures. Key duties and responsibilities The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to: Applying a structured methodology and leading change management activities; Assessing the change impacts to various stakeholder audience groups; Completing Change Impact Assessments; Creating Change Management Strategy - based on the nature of the change and the groups being impacted; Identifying potential risks, points of resistance and preparing specific plans to mitigate or address these; Working with relevant areas to create a set of actionable and targeted set of change management plans - including communications plan, sponsor roadmap, and training plan; Taking a lead role in the execution of change management plans; Supporting and engaging with senior leaders; Coordinating efforts with other change management specialists; Identifying and reporting on any change management related issues; Evaluating and ensuring stakeholder readiness for change; Managing stakeholders; Defining and measuring success metrics and monitoring change progress; Supporting change management at the Organisational level; Travelling interstate as required. Specified Personnel will be expected to transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the Department’s recordkeeping policy and practices. The Specified Personnel will also be responsible for producing the following deliverables, including but not limited to: High-level Change Impact Assessments; Detailed Change Impact Assessments; Communications artefacts; Training artefacts; Stakeholder engagement plans. All deliverables performed by the specified personnel must: be performed or delivered promptly and without delay in accordance with the timeframes notified by the buyer from time to time; and meet the assessment and performance criteria set out in any monitoring and performance assessment processes notified to the seller from time to time. Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a one page pitch to address all criteria specified. This is equal to 5000 characters. Essential criteria 1. Extensive change management skills in working in bi-modal change and in managing complex integrated systems, with the ability to work with Project / Program and business stakeholders in achieving required change outcomes and objectives. 2. Highly developed interpersonal skills. Able to facilitate and promote effective interactions with clients, peers and stakeholders. 3. Comprehensive strategic knowledge, preferably with deep understanding of the organisation's operational business or able to quickly learn how the work of the business lines contributes to business outcomes. 4. Strong negotiation skills to achieve agreed outcomes, be adaptable and flexible person and able to deal with ambiguity. 5. Strong skills in pursuing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and clients to build professional networks. 6. Sound proficiency in conducting research and data analysis and is able to translate and present technical and complex information appropriately.
