Role Title - Senior Storage Administrator This opportunity has been sent to selected suppliers only. Should DHA require other/further/new submissions DHA will make direct contact. Unsolicited emails will not be answered. In this role, the Senior Storage Administrator will be responsible for providing expertise and technical advice across a broad range of platforms. The role will involve implementing system improvements and contributing to the transition to a new operating model for DHA. Under limited supervision, the role will manage complex issues, support software releases, and develop and maintain diverse platforms and products that support DHA’s Non-Production and Production environments. The role may also occasionally mentor and uplift junior team members. Maximum hourly rate $193 including GST Key duties and responsibilities Key Duties and Responsibilities Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of a standard operating environment (SOE) for Linux on a virtualised platform, migrating systems from legacy technologies as required. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of monitoring solutions to manage and report on platform service availability. Respond to incidents as they arise in datacentres, server hardware and software. Liaise with business stakeholders and vendors as required to manage impact and achieve timely resolution. Collaborate with Database, Networks, Software Development and other technical teams, providing specialist support as required to achieve common business objectives and meet required deadlines. Support deployments and releases of code through Non-Production and Production environments. Provide operational support to DHA’s NetApp storage systems. Provide operational support to DHA’s VMware and Nutanix Hyperconverged systems. Provide operational support to DHA’s Disaster Recovery capability. Provide operational support to DHA’s CommVault backup systems, including offsite tertiary object stores. The assessment will consider the applicant’s demonstrated understanding of the role, their ability to apply relevant knowledge and expertise in a practical work environment, and the quality of examples provided to support their claims. Consideration will also be given to their communication skills, problem-solving ability, stakeholder engagement experience and capacity to contribute effectively to the team and broader organisational objectives.
