Senior Software Engineers

As a software engineer you will develop, maintain and enhance DHA’s software solutions, working in MDT’s translate business requirements into software functionality, leveraging both technical and domain knowledge.  Engineers work closely with business stakeholders to understand pain points and propose technology driven solutions. You will work closely with our testing team and ict operations on debugging and resolving production issues to ensure system stability. Following best practice and driving security standards into software engineering inclusive of documentation testing and configuration management will form key parts of your role and ensure business continuity.   The key stakeholders associated with the role include:  Business Analysts  Architecture  Testers  Hourly rate is $181 including GST   Key duties and responsibilities Reporting to the Software Engineer Technical Lead, and in line with DHA strategic objectives, the Software Engineer has the following key responsibilities:   Technical Skills:  Familiarity with .NET and java technologies or a strong willingness and ability to learn .NET and Java development  Familiarity with Salesforce and MuleSoft Technologies or a strong willingness and ability to learn Salesforce and MuleSoft.  Proficiency in SQL  Familiarity with Windows, Linux, Oracle and ORM technologies  Understanding of software design principles and best practices  Ability to write clear technical documentation and unit tests.  Understanding of key security principles   Business and Analytical Skills:  Strong understanding of business operations from prior experience in a business support role  Ability to bridge technical solutions with business requirements effectively  Experience liaising with stakeholders to define requirements and identify efficiencies.  Collaboration and Problem-Solving:  Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills  Ability to troubleshoot complex issues with a structured and proactive approach  Willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic environment.  The following capabilities are required to deliver on the key responsibilities of the position.  Mandatory Requirements  Familiarity with .NET and java technologies or a strong willingness and ability to learn .NET and Java development  Familiarity with Salesforce and MuleSoft Technologies or a strong willingness and ability to learn Salesforce and MuleSoft.  Proficiency in SQL  Familiarity with Windows, Linux, Oracle and ORM technologies  Experience designing and building API (REST/OAS/SOA and middleware platforms such as MuleSoft)  Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Computer Science, Diploma of IT or 5+ years' experience   Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a one page pitch to address all criteria specified.
