The Department of Finance (Finance) is undertaking an Approach to Market (ATM) process to procure experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Functional Specialists through a Laboure Hire arrangement to support delivery of the Department’s ECC6 to S/4HANA conversion program. The Enterprise Systems and Services Division (ESSD) delivers shared enterprise resource planning (ERP) services to 16 Australian Government entities. Within ESSD, the Digital Services Branch is responsible for managing the SAP ERP platform and delivering digital initiatives. The role will focus on the analysis, remediation, testing and implementation of SAP Finance functionality to ensure financial processes and integrations continue to operate effectively following the transition to S/4HANA. The successful candidate/s will work as part of a multidisciplinary project team comprising SAP functional consultants, technical specialists and architects. The role is primarily functional and technical in nature and will support the delivery of S/4HANA Finance capabilities within an established shared-services environment. Key duties and responsibilities The key duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Provide specialist SAP Finance functional expertise to support the Department's ECC6 to S/4HANA conversion program. Analyse and assess the impact of S/4HANA Finance on existing ECC6 functionality and identify required remediation activities. Support the transition of functionality from external solutions to S/4HANA capabilities, including SRM-related integrations and dependencies. Develop functional specifications and provide advice on SAP Finance solution design, configuration and implementation. Analyse, document and communicate functional differences between ECC6 and S/4HANA Finance. Conduct functional and unit testing activities and provide functional expertise to analyse and resolve defects identified during SIT and UAT. Assist with financial data migration, reconciliation and validation activities to ensure data integrity, completeness and accuracy. Support the preservation of existing business logic, financial controls, compliance requirements and reporting outcomes throughout the conversion program. Contribute to cutover planning, go-live readiness, deployment activities and post-implementation stabilisation. Develop and maintain functional documentation, facilitate knowledge transfer to internal staff, and contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment. The ideal candidate/s will demonstrate the following technical skills and capabilities: Demonstrated expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance and associated architecture. Strong functional knowledge of SAP FI, including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting and Treasury. Understanding of S/4HANA Finance simplification items and ECC6 conversion impacts. Experience supporting ECC6 to S/4HANA conversion programs. Experience working in large-scale SAP environments, preferably shared services or government. This includes (but is not limited to): owning interests and/or ongoing employment with ICT businesses who deliver services to the Commonwealth; have vested interests in ICT technologies; have l relationships with Buyer personnel involved in the Contract’s scope.
