As an IT Platform Windows Specialist, you will be a key member of DHA’s Windows Platform team, responsible for the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of Windows-based systems and services and management of DHA’s cloud platforms, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient infrastructure that supports both corporate and operational needs.This role requires a proactive and technically skilled individual who can work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality IT services in a dynamic environment.The key stakeholders associated with the role include: - Director of IT Operations - IT Operations Managers - DHA IT Security Team Key duties and responsibilities Main duties: Provide advanced technical support for Windows desktop environments and end-user computing platforms.Administer and support DHA’s Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.Lead or contribute to the planning and execution of system upgrades, patching, and infrastructure projects.Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.Implement and maintain hybrid cloud solutions, integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud services.Collaborate with cybersecurity and risk teams to ensure compliance with DHA’s security policies and government standards across both on-premises and cloud environments.Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation and standard operating procedures.Mentor junior IT staff and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.Participate in incident response, problem management, and change control processes.Engage with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
