Senior Project Officer

The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) requires an experienced Project Officer to provide business management, procurement support, financial coordination and administrative support across a complex ICT and business transformation environment. The Project Officer will be responsible for coordinating program and project management activities, maintaining financial and workforce reporting, managing procurement and contract administration activities, and ensuring effective business operations. The role will work closely with project managers, delivery teams, finance representatives and senior stakeholders to support the successful delivery of strategic outcomes. Key duties and responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking activities including, but not limited to: Providing business management and coordination support Coordinating project reporting including financial, workforce, risk and performance reporting Managing budget, forecasting, financial monitoring and reconciliation activities Assisting with procurement, contract management and vendor engagement activities in accordance with Commonwealth and ACIC policies Maintaining project artefacts, registers and documentation in accordance with ACIC governance frameworks Supporting workforce planning, onboarding, offboarding and administrative processes for contractors and staff Developing high-quality briefing material, reports, presentations and correspondence for senior executives and governance bodies Establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders Supporting audit, assurance and compliance activities through the provision of accurate records and evidence Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance business processes, governance and delivery effectiveness Providing strategic and operational support to project leadership as required The ACIC requires specified personnel to: Obtain the ACIC’s Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to commencement. Have an Australian Government security clearance (AGSVA) to the minimum of Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) or be willing to undergo and obtain and AGSVA NV1 clearance. As directed by the ACIC, complete a Deed of Confidentiality or Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to commencement or comply with processes required to engage the Specified Personnel under section 48 of the Australian Crime Commission Act (2002). Demonstrated experience providing business management, governance and administrative support within a complex ICT, program or project delivery environment. 2. Experience conducting financial management activities, including budgeting, forecasting, procurement coordination, contract administration and financial reporting. 3. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders across multiple organisational levels and business areas. 4. Excellent organisational skills, with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, deliver high-quality outcomes and work independently in a fast-paced environment 5. Whole of life costs to the Commonwealth Desirable criteria 1. Experience supporting Commonwealth Government ICT, digital transformation, intelligence or law enforcement programs or projects. 2. Relevant qualifications or certifications in business management, finance, procurement or a related discipline.
