Role/s: 2 x EL1 AX Tester The EL1 AX Tester (Labour Hire) will provide specialist accessibility testing and assurance across digital products and services delivered within a complex ICT program environment. Working within multidisciplinary ICT delivery teams, the role will plan and undertake accessibility testing to identify barriers that may prevent people with disability or diverse access needs from effectively using digital services. The role will provide expert analysis and practical remediation advice to support the delivery of accessible, inclusive and compliant digital solutions. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accessibility testing capability, sound knowledge of relevant accessibility standards and the ability to work closely with designers, developers, testers and other delivery specialists throughout the digital delivery lifecycle. Supplier Briefing: No Supplier Briefing will be held for these roles Rate: The proposed rate should reflect candidate's skills and experience against the Evaluation Criteria. Candidates that do not demonstrate these criteria will not be assessed. Candidates should be aware that rates may be negotiated further as part of the selection process. Citizenship: As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, NDIA seeks Labour Hire Workers who are Australian citizens only. Successful candidates will be required to furnish valid evidence of citizenship during the Pre-engagement Check. Labour Hire Licence: Applicable for ACT, NSW, VIC and QLD: Labour hire licences are required in the state that specified personnel are being contracted. Key duties and responsibilities Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Plan, undertake and document accessibility testing of digital products, services, applications and user interfaces. Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing against relevant standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Test digital solutions using assistive technologies, including screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification and other relevant tools. Develop accessibility test plans, scenarios and test cases based on solution requirements, user journeys and identified accessibility risks. Identify, analyse and document accessibility defects and barriers, including their impact on users and applicable accessibility requirements. Provide clear and practical remediation guidance to developers, designers and other delivery team members. Work collaboratively with UX/UI designers, user researchers, developers and testers to identify and address accessibility issues throughout the delivery lifecycle. Review designs, prototypes and implemented solutions to identify accessibility issues early and reduce downstream remediation. Verify accessibility defect remediation and undertake regression testing to ensure accessibility requirements continue to be met. Provide specialist accessibility testing advice to delivery teams and stakeholders, including advice on accessibility risks, testing coverage and solution readiness. Contribute to accessibility assurance activities and provide evidence to support release and quality decisions. Support the development and continuous improvement of accessibility testing approaches, tools, standards, reusable test assets and quality assurance practices. Share accessibility knowledge and provide guidance to other testers and multidisciplinary delivery team members. This is equal to 5000 characters. Essential criteria 1. Demonstrated extensive experience undertaking accessibility testing of complex digital products, applications or services. 2. Strong knowledge and practical application of WCAG and contemporary digital accessibility standards and practices. 3. Demonstrated experience conducting manual and automated accessibility testing using a range of accessibility testing tools and techniques. 4. Demonstrated experience testing digital solutions using assistive technologies, including screen readers and keyboard-only navigation. 5. Strong experience identifying, documenting and analysing accessibility defects and providing practical remediation guidance to technical and design teams. 6. Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary ICT delivery teams. Desirable criteria 1. Experience undertaking accessibility testing within a large or complex Australian Government ICT or digital transformation environment. 2. Experience with a range of assistive technologies and accessibility testing tools across web and/or mobile platforms. 3. Knowledge of the Australian Government Digital Service Standard and accessibility requirements applicable to government digital services. 4. Relevant accessibility testing certification, qualification or professional development in digital accessibility.
