Role/s: 1 x EL1 Senior Automation Test Analyst - Mobile Aps & Portals The National Disability Insurance Agency, Office of the CIO (NDIA OCIO) is undertaking major work programs to deliver innovative fit-for-need ICT-based solutions to improve the National Disability Insurance Scheme. We are seeking a passionate, experienced Senior Automation Test Analyst to join the Office of the CIO (OCIO) who will prepare for and conduct testing activities across one or more concurrent ICT projects, with a focus on Web-based Portals and Mobile Apps. Supplier Briefing: Not Required. Rate: The proposed rate should reflect candidate's skills and experience against the Evaluation Criteria. Candidates that do not demonstrate these criteria will not be assessed. Candidates should be aware that rates may be negotiated further as part of the selection process. Citizenship: As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, NDIA seeks Labour Hire Workers who are Australian citizens only. Successful candidates will be required to furnish valid evidence of citizenship during the Pre-engagement Check. Labour Hire Licence: Applicable for ACT, VIC and QLD: Labour hire licences are required in the state that specified personnel are being contracted. Key duties and responsibilities Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: •  Support the OCIO Project Manager to develop the Test Approach for a given project. • Take ownership for day-to-day Test planning, preparation, execution and verification on    a given project(s). • Execute testing – this is a hands-on role with manual and automation components. • Escalate testing issues to through the appropriate channels. • Provide regular updates on test progress in consultation with project managers and other testers on the team. • Provide coaching and mentoring to other team members undertaking testing activities including business analysts, and business representatives. • Take responsibility for the quality of testing undertaken for the project including some co-ordination of other testers. • Work with Test Automation specialists to incorporate Test Automation into the ongoing test approach. • Support efforts to industrialise testing best practices and standards, including tooling, documentation, metrics, reporting, and continuous automation. (NOTE: the key responsibilities of the role are based on current priorities and may change over time)       Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a one page pitch to address all criteria specified. This is equal to 5000 characters. Essential criteria 1. 1–2 years executing focused testing activities in medium-to-large scale ICT environments 2. Direct experience testing Web-based applications 3. Strong understanding of contemporary delivery methodologies and the respective testing implications and best practices 4. Assertive communication backed up by real Testing Subject Matter Expertise. 5. Ability and willingness to work in a friendly, but sometimes time high pressure, environment with tight deadlines. 6. Commitment to deliver quality outcomes and continuous improvement. Desirable criteria 1. Awareness of accessibility testing. 2. Experience in a DevOps environment 3. Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded.
