Senior Salesforce Developers

The Commercial Application Delivery Section within the Business Solutions Branch of DFAT's Information Management and Technology Division are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Salesforce Developer to support projects in the development of Salesforce applications. As a Salesforce Developer you will be required to: Participate in the planning/analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements. Remain current with Salesforce technologies and best practices. Translate application designs into functional configurations and code, in line with development and configuration standards. Support quality assurance and release management operations to ensure artefacts can be properly tested and deployed. Produce design, solution and technical documentation as required by the project. Specialist Salesforce skills are sought in the following key technology areas: Demonstrated experience to design, build and deliver enterprise level integrated solutions. Demonstrated experience in configuring Salesforce. Ability to build/ modify custom Objects, Flows, Permission sets, sharing and other related configuration and settings. Advanced demonstrated experience in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Omnistudio, Aura, JavaScript, CSS and HTML. Demonstrated experience in tracking and troubleshooting errors in development and configuration. Public Sector Solutions and Experience cloud. Experience in using version control and advanced CI/ CD tooling. Strong understanding of Salesforce best practice and functionality. Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I and Omni Studio Developer/ Consultant Key duties and responsibilities Job specific role description: As a Salesforce developer, you will implement and deliver solutions to meet clients’ business requirements in a project delivery team. You will collaborate with the Solution Lead to prepare designs. You will use out-of-the-box features and configuration to maximise value and sustainability and meet best practice when customising with code. You will work closely with the business analyst to ensure that your releases meet business requirements and acceptance criteria and work closely with the tester to ensure your releases meet quality assurance standards. You will work with the release manager to perform releases through the DevOps pipeline and meet quality standards at each step. This is a delivery and ongoing support role with the following responsibilities: Participate in the planning/analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements. Remain current with Salesforce technologies and best practices. Translate application designs into functional configurations and code, in line with development and configuration standards. Support quality assurance and release management operations to ensure artefacts can be properly tested and deployed. Produce design, solution and technical documentation as required by the project. The Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) has been used to inform the requirements. In summary, DFAT seeks suitable candidates with the following relevant skillsets: Skills/Levels: Development and Implementation – Systems Development - Programming / Software Development (PROG) – Level 4 Development and Implementation – Systems Development - Software Configuration (PORT) – Level 4 Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a one page pitch to address all criteria specified. This is equal to 5000 characters. Essential criteria 1. • Minimum 3+ years in performing Salesforce development. 2. • Have specialist ICT skills in the following: o Demonstrated experience to design, build and deliver enterprise level integrated solutions and follow Salesforce best practices o Demonstrated experience in configuring Salesforce. Ability to build/ modify custom Objects, Flows, Permission sets, sharing and other related configuration and settings. o Advanced demonstrated experience in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Omnistudio, Aura, JavaScript, CSS and HTML. o Public Sector Solutions and Experience cloud. o Experience in using version control and advanced CI/ CD tooling. 3. • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I and Omni Studio Developer/ Consultant. 4. • Minimum current/active NV1 security clearance. Desirable criteria 1. • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer II or any Salesforce Architect Certification like Data Designer/ Sharing and Visibility Designer. 2. • Certified Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) or Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant.
