Business Architect

The Business Architect will design and document future-state operating models, business processes and service delivery arrangements to support implementation of reform initiatives. The role will identify impacts across policy, operational, reporting, governance and digital functions. It will develop business architecture artefacts, capability models, detailed data and systems documentation, product capability roadmaps, and other key business documentation to support organisational change, future-state service delivery, implementation, transition activities, and investment planning. The role will also provide strategic advice on transition pathways between current and future operating environments.  Key duties and responsibilities delivery of high-quality business design artefacts, process maps, operating models, current and future state data models and requirements documentation  delivery of workforce and sector evidence collection activities, including workforce survey design and testing where required.  development of business and technical requirements to support future implementation  develop and maintain current and future state data models, including documentation of data flows, dependencies and business information requirements.  delivery of analytical products and evidence to support decision making  effective stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering activities.  maintain integrated delivery plans and documentation (across policy, operations, legal, digital, data and comms/change) to guide efficient and successful delivery  deliver key project artefacts and project/governance reporting to support integrated critical path and governance oversight, including risks, issues and mitigations  maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across data, digital, policy, grants operations and corporate areas  facilitate structured knowledge transfer to APS staff to build internal delivery capability and reduce reliance on external resources.  technical Advisor/lead specific:  ensure effective management of project risks, issues, dependencies and implementation activities  deliver high-quality business design, implementation and governance artefacts  provide strategic advice to support future investment and implementation decisions  Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a response to each criterion. The extent to which the proposed personnel demonstrate comparable experience and capability in delivery complex government reform, programs, projects or initiatives of similar scope, scale and complexity, in line with the Statement of Requirement, as set out in the RFQ. This should be demonstrated through the submission of a maximum of 1 curriculum vitae (CV) for each available role, with a maximum length of 2 pages for each CV. 2. Whole of life costs to be incurred by the department. Evaluation will take account of the quoted price and any costs that the department will incur as a result of accepting the tenderer’s Responses.
