Job description

As a Transformation Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of the Commission’s transformation portfolio through one of two focus streams: Governance, Risk and Benefits or Delivery Enablement and Engagement. Working within the Transformation Office, you will contribute to uplifted portfolio management practices, support informed decision-making, and help drive consistent delivery of strategic transformation initiatives. You will work closely with delivery teams, senior leaders and governance forums to provide high-quality reporting, analysis, coordination and administrative support across the transformation portfolio. Governance, Risk and Benefits In this stream, you will support the governance and oversight of the transformation portfolio by coordinating reporting, maintaining portfolio artefacts and contributing to risk and benefits management processes. You will assist in preparing reporting for the Reform Committee, support the maintenance of portfolio risk registers, monitor risks and issues, and contribute to the development and tracking of benefits measures and performance indicators. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to synthesise information from multiple sources to support effective decision-making. Delivery Enablement and Engagement In this stream, you will support the development and implementation of portfolio management practices, tools and reporting that enable successful transformation delivery. You will work collaboratively with delivery teams to support planning, monitoring and reporting activities, maintain transformation roadmaps and delivery artefacts, and assist in identifying and managing dependencies across the portfolio. The role will also contribute to developing guidance, templates and processes that strengthen delivery capability and improve portfolio visibility and performance. Across both streams, you will build productive stakeholder relationships, provide high-quality advice and support, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement that enables the Commission to achieve its transformation objectives Key duties and responsibilities The Commission is seeking to engage 2 x suitably qualified Transformation Support Leads.  Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:  Work closely with delivery leads to support governance, planning, tracking and reporting across the Commission’s transformation portfolio. Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships across business areas and enabling functions, connecting teams with the right support, information and expertise to achieve successful outcomes Develop, maintain and continuously improve portfolio management frameworks, tools, templates, schedules, registers and guidance materials that promote consistent, effective and well-governed delivery practices. Maintain and update portfolio-level and enterprise-wide reporting products, dashboards and artefacts to support effective monitoring, oversight and decision-making. Coordinate and facilitate governance forums, working groups and stakeholder meetings, supporting delivery priorities, managing interdependencies and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Support executive governance processes by preparing high-quality briefs, reports, agendas, presentations, minutes and action items for senior leaders and decision-making bodies Maintain and continuously update the transformation roadmap, ensuring priorities, milestones, dependencies and delivery schedules are accurately reflected to support portfolio planning, sequencing, monitoring and decision-making.  Analyse information and provide forward-looking insights to support strategic planning, change implementation, dependency management, risk management and executive decision-making. Support portfolio risk management by assisting with risk identification, assessment and monitoring, maintaining risk registers, documenting controls and treatment plans, and contributing to regular risk reporting. Support benefits management and realisation by maintaining baselines, key performance indicators (KPIs) and benefits measures, monitoring progress against expected outcomes, and contributing to portfolio benefits reporting. Contribute to the uplift of portfolio and project management capability by promoting better practice approaches, sharing lessons learned, and supporting continuous improvement across the transformation portfolio. Mandatory requirement Current Baseline security clearance is a mandatory required. NV1 security clearance may be required Additional Information As the Commission is a national workforce, there may be a requirement for travel  interstate, along with a hybrid approach of face-to-face and Teams engagements. Office locations considered for this role include NDIS Commission Offices in Parramatta NSW, Penrith NSW, Canberra ACT, Melbourne VIC, Hobart TAS, Adelaide SA and Brisbane QLD.
