Senior Test Analyst

APS6 Conformance Test Analysts at Australian Digital Health Agency (the Agency) are accountable, under limited direction, to perform complex work relating to conformance testing of vendor systems, execute test cases, remotely guide developer representatives to perform activities and produce accurate and detailed records of test outcomes. Key duties and responsibilities Leadership and Accountability • Confirm and approve test reports and the declaration of conformance for vendors inclusion on Agency managed conformance registers. • Undertake observation sessions for vendor conformance testing of software products and produce comprehensive test reports. • Accountable for providing subject matter expert advice, aiding the resolution of conformance related production incidents. • Acquire, maintain, and apply an in-depth knowledge of the Agency’s frameworks, methodologies and activities required to coordinate and support the Agency’s requirements, including understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and process mapping and design. • Accountable to provide a high level of support to managers to identify risk and issues and assist with the coordination for risk mitigation, response, and treatment actions. 2. Management Diversity and Span • Develop, maintain, and enhance reporting tools, processes, and procedures for assessing digital health systems production data against complex requirements (e.g., My Health Record). • Develop, maintain, and update conformance assessment process and procedure documents for the conformance assessment of systems and clinical documents in your assigned conformance service area. • Contribute to development and continuous improvement of Conformance Profiles for Agency conformance services in your assigned conformance service area. • Develop written associated conformance test case specifications for each Conformance Profile against which software products are tested. • Develop, maintain, and update a knowledge base of non-conformance incidents in the production environment and the findings from their investigation. • Develop, maintain, and update risk assessment methodology, processes and artefacts for all conformance assessment schemes, including Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Mobile (B2M) products seeking connection to the My Health Record system, Electronic Prescribing, HI Service, Secure Messaging, and other future schemes. 3. Job Context and Environment • Identify what needs to be done and conduct in depth analysis of production data to identify issues with conformant authoring software systems outputs. • Maintain relevant risk registers and other artefacts and conduct risk assessments using appropriate methodologies. • Monitor and maintain awareness of the mid and longer-term outcomes, adjusting work priorities in line with assigned authority for any changes to Agency priorities. • Work with teams, partners and/or clients to track progress and compliance against the business requirements. • Produce detailed incident analysis reports for internal stakeholders as well as software developers detailing issues found including extracts of the relevant XML, the relevant specification points, and possible solutions. 4. Independence and decision-making • Work with independence, subject to limited direction against established priorities, practices, and methodologies to deliver quality outcomes ensuring tools, templates and processes are adhered to. • Make decisions, with direction from more senior staff, on tasks/assignments with considerable complexity and sensitivity.  • Assist in the analysis of production logs to isolate clinical documents for investigation for non conformance with specifications. • Liaise with vendors to obtain clinical documents for review and investigation of system issues identified through analysis of production systems. • Review of clinical document XML against the required specifications to identify issues of non conformance. 5. Stakeholder Management  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders about incident findings to facilitate rectification, anticipating and responding to their needs and expectations and ensuring stakeholder expectations are clearly articulated, documented, and understood. • Communicate and negotiate with stakeholders; working under limited direction to deal with complex and contentious matters requiring persuasion and sensitivity to minimise oppositions and maximise acceptance and cooperation. • Ad-hoc investigation and reporting for internal stakeholders. • Represent the agency by promoting its interests at community and cross-agency levels.
