Senior Solution Architect

Role/s: 1 x EL2 Solution Architect The EL2 Solution Architect (Labour Hire) is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the NDIA. The position will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving and issues management functions. The position requires exercising sound decision-making and judgement to produce high level architectural advice and operational support. The EL2 Solution Architect (Labour Hire) is required to coordinate and assume responsibility and technical ownership for varied activities and sensitive projects. This includes producing architecture artefacts, detailed designs and providing direction and guidance to the development teams. The position is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and where required will represent and negotiate on behalf of the NDIA to advance the NDIA’s interests across a range of forums. This a key role within the agency, providing technical leadership for the ongoing enhancement of the core technology platforms that support the Agency systems. Working with the business this role will be responsible for delivering cohesive solution architecture and designs across the Crack Down on Fraud (CDoF) domain. The key to performing in this role will be the ability to facilitate technical, business and procurement teams, as well as the broader architecture community, to create and deliver solutions and designs that are fit for purpose, technically sound, robust and secure, aligned to the agencies broader charter and technology strategies.    Supplier Briefing: A supplier briefing will not be held for this role Rate: The proposed rate should reflect candidate's skills and experience against the Evaluation Criteria. Candidates that do not demonstrate these criteria will not be assessed. Candidates should be aware that rates may be negotiated further as part of the selection process. Citizenship: As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, NDIA seeks Labour Hire Workers who are Australian citizens only. Successful candidates will be required to furnish valid evidence of citizenship during the Pre-engagement Check. Labour Hire Licence: Applicable for ACT, VIC and QLD: Labour hire licences are required in the state that specified personnel are being contracted. Key duties and responsibilities Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:  •    Delivering high-quality solution designs and architecture that are fit for business purpose and ensure solutions align with the Agency goals and objectives. •    Development, ownership and accountability for creation and maintaining all relevant documentation pertaining to the Solution. •    Engage with the business to understand the tactical and strategic objectives and requirements. •    Engage with the enterprise architects, solution leads, business representatives, development team and other relevant stakeholders to ensure solution alignment across domains.  •    Provide technical oversight and facilitate complex issues resolution arising during project delivery.  •    Represent the solution throughout all governance councils and processes.  •    Consult with the broader team of SMEs and architects to ensure the depth of knowledge and experience within the agency is leveraged to its full extent.  Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a response to each criterion. Each response is limited to 3000 characters. Essential criteria 1. Minimum 7 years of Architecture experience with broad technical knowledge, including demonstratable experience leading the design of complex enterprise class platforms. 2. Demonstrable experience developing and deploying enterprise scale analytical solution (SAS). 3. Experience leading and driving architectural design for Enterprise class CRM and/or Large-scale integration projects, with Salesforce experience preferred. 4. Excellent listening, communication and stakeholder management skills, must be able to translate business capability into technical requirements. 5. Experience balancing fast-paced project and program, project and organisational goals, as well as tactical and strategic drivers. 6. Proven experience contributing effectively within a team environment – the ability to adapt to the role performed based on the audience. The need to be equally comfortable facilitating or contributing ion large groups of mixed business functions and varied technical expertise. Desirable criteria 1. Bachelor of Science/Business in Information Technology or equivalent tertiary qualification. 2. Industry experience across health or insurance sectors, or other related industries with large customer bases and complex supply chain interactions. 3. TOGAF certified or equivalent IT architectural qualification; Azure or AWS cloud experience. 4. Functional experience across applied analytics, embedding analytics into core business functions, preferably with SAS or equivalent enterprise scale solutions.
