Senior Systems Analyst

The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) has a requirement for a Senior System Analyst to support a priority project in the delivery of a new intelligence analysis capability. The crucial role of the Senior System Analyst will be to elicit and document the technical requirements, lead the identification of a solution that will specifically meet the ACIC requirements and work in the design and implementation of the solution Key duties and responsibilities The ACIC is implementing a new intelligence capability to replace the existing Palantir Gotham platform. The System Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of the solution by working closely with the selected vendor, business stakeholders, technical teams, and project resources. Responsibilities will include: Lead the management and maintenance of business and technical requirements in Azure DevOps in accordance with the Agile methodology. Supporting solution design activities to ensure alignment with business, operational and technical needs. Working collaboratively with business stakeholders, project teams, vendors and technical specialists to deliver project outcomes. Facilitating system integration, data migration, testing and deployment activities. Analysing complex business processes and identifying opportunities for capability improvement and optimisation. Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including requirements specifications, design artefacts, test plans and operational procedures. Supporting change, release and implementation activities to ensure successful transition into production. Identifying, managing and escalating project risks, issues and dependencies as required. Providing expert advice and recommendations on system design, functionality and implementation approaches. Ensuring solutions comply with ACIC's security, information management, architecture and governance requirements. Supporting knowledge transfer activities and contributing to the ongoing sustainment and enhancement of the capability. Proven experience in the gathering, analysis, evaluation and documentation, management and maintenance of high-quality business and system requirements 2. Proven experience or the ability to participate in a complex multi-stage procurement process 3. Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with staff, project resources and vendor resources in the delivery of new capabilities 4. Excellent communications skills including proven experience in representing the work area in meetings, workshop facilitation and contributing to briefings for senior internal or external stakeholders 5. Whole of life costs to the Commonwealth Desirable criteria 1.
