The Health Business System Branch works with a diverse range of business partners to deliver secure, reliable and sustainable enterprise systems with a focus on digital transformation and supporting effective policy and program delivery. The Branch partners with the Health Financing Group, Health Product Regulation Group to deliver a significant digital transformation across the regulatory and subsidisation lifecycle. In addition to the large transformation program, the Branch provides operational support for all TGA systems, PBS monthly schedule production, and all D365 and Microsoft CRM applications. The Dynamics 365 CRM Software engineer will be responsible to design, build and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM) and Power Platform solutions that meet business requirements and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and delivery standards. They will contribute to design decisions, enforcing development standards, and actively participate in peer code reviews to ensure solution quality, performance and security. The Software engineer will work with business stakeholders to understand the operational context and translate needs into high quality technical solutions which are fit for purpose. The position requires strong communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders, the ability to work independently while providing technical guidance within the delivery team, and a strong attention to detail with a commitment to high quality outcomes. The role also requires the ability to manage competing priorities across development, support and enhancement activities in a fast paced, enterprise delivery environment while contributing to continuous improvement and technical uplift. Key duties and responsibilities The Software Engineer (Microsoft Power Platform / Dynamics 365 CRM Developer) is responsible for designing, developing, configuring and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions that meet business, architectural and security requirements. Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Review business requirements and user stories and providing technical input Design, develop, configure and support solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform, including Power Apps, Dataverse and Power Automate Enhance and maintain existing CRM applications, including defect resolution, performance optimisation and minor enhancements Develop new CRM functionality in line with agreed business requirements, enterprise architecture standards and security controls Build and maintain integrations between Dynamics 365 and other enterprise systems using APIs, Azure services and approved middleware Collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners and stakeholders to translate business needs into high‑quality technical solutions Prepare, maintain and contribute to solution documentation, including design artefacts, deployment documentation, configuration details and code comments Participate in peer solution and code reviews, providing constructive technical feedback to ensure quality, performance and security Support solution releases and deployments across environments (DEV, TEST, UAT, PROD) using approved DevOps, CI/CD and release management processes Work within a DevOps framework to support deployed solutions, including monitoring, incident and problem investigation, and ongoing maintenance Contribute to testing activities, continuous improvement initiatives and technical uplift across the delivery team Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a response to each criterion. At least 5 years recent experience as Software Engineer in in Department of health Disability and Aging or a larger Commonwealth environment or similar. 2. Hands on experience developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform, D365, Power Automate, Power BI and .net technologies 3. Solid understanding of APIs, Integration patterns, Azure services, CI/CD pipelines 4. Demonstrated experience implementing security protocols, including modern authentication, identity management, and secure integration patterns 5. Demonstrated experience working in an Agile, multi disciplinary team using Agile methodologies. 6. Demonstrated ability to work as a Software engineer performing a broad range of functions required of the role (see key duties / responsibilities as outlined in this RFQ) Desirable criteria 1. Formal qualifications and certifications 2. Experience in successfully delivering transformation projects 3.
