The Health Business System Branch works with a diverse range of business partners to deliver secure, reliable and sustainable enterprise systems with a focus on digital transformation and supporting effective policy and program delivery. The Branch partners with the Health Financing Group, Health Product Regulation Group to deliver a significant digital transformation across the regulatory and subsidisation lifecycle. In addition to the large transformation program, the Branch provides operational support for all TGA systems, PBS monthly schedule production, and all D365 and Microsoft CRM applications. The Health Business Systems Branch is looking to engage a qualified and experienced Project Manager to work within a large complex portfolio of work supporting major new capability and initiatives. Key duties and responsibilities The key duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager include but not limited to: Business Skills & behaviours Demonstrates leadership in operational management Analyses requirements and advises on scope and options for continual operational improvement Assess and evaluates risk that include taking corrective action as necessary to mitigate the risks Takes all requirements into account when making proposals Advises on available standards, methods, tools, applications and processes relevant to the group specialism(s) and can make appropriate choices from alternatives Clearly demonstrates impactful communication skills (oral, written and presentation) in both formal and informal settings, articulating complex ideas to broad audiences Security, privacy and ethics - proactively contributes to the implementation of appropriate working practices and culture. Communicates authoritatively at all levels across the groups/areas to both technical and non-technical audiences articulation business objectives Ensures that all required project and change artefacts, and project reporting are completed as per the department frameworks, on time and to a high quality standard Works in partnership with Delivery Managers and Scrum Masters to deliver projects in agile IT Delivery methodologies Engage and develop strong partnership Business teams Maintains resourcing and financial forecasts, for the project with a high level of confidence Complexity Contributes to the development and implementation of policy and strategy Performs highly complex work activities covering technical, financial and quality aspects Has deep expertise in own specialism(s) and an understanding of its impact on the broader business and wider customer/Department Autonomy Has defined authority and accountability for actions and decisions within a significant of work, including technical, financial and quality aspects Establishes organisational objectives and assigns responsibilities Influence Initiates influential relationships with stakeholders and leads on collaboration across competing objectives The Project Manager, at any time, be redirected to assist or work on other projects/activities outside of the scope of the initial assignment. The seller must ensure that the Labour Hire worker performing the services during the term of this contract, facilitate an effective transfer of skills and knowledge to the buyer to enable full use of services and deliverables and associated documents. Demonstrated Project management experience on several large complex ICT projects/ programs. 2. Experience in communicating complex IT solutions to stakeholders, showing how they deliver business outcomes. 3. Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities in a dynamic environment. 4. Demonstrated governance and finance experience in a large ICT computing organisation Desirable criteria 1. 5 years’ experience working as a Project Manager 2. Project/Program management certifications 3. Experience working in a multivendor environment 4.
