Senior Salesforce DevOps

Salesforce DevOps professionals bridge the gap between Development and Operational teams. They are responsible for setting up and managing the environments, tooling, and architecture for the operation of project development and test environments as well as the software configuration management processes for the entire application development lifecycle. A Salesforce DevOpa Engineers in this role has the following responsibilities: Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems. Understands the strategic direction set by project leadership as it relates to team goals. Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems. Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor. May interact with peers and/or management levels in the project or other teams Salesforce DevOps Engineers will Perform Environment Provisioning as part of the project delivery life cycle Coordinate with various teams (architecture, development, testing) to support the project Set up CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce Deployments and run the CI/CD tooling platform Support development streams with code management, code sync, deployment execution Define and govern CI/CD processes for the project (branching, developer tools onboarding, best practices, etc). Provide SME for matters relating to Salesforce DevOps Adopt an automation mindset first Maintain configuration across environments and ensure that all configuration changes are done via code and not manually implemented Be responsible for the end to project delivery of new domains lifecycle in a dynamic, agile environment including project mobilisation, process design, system configuration & customisation, testing, integration, data migration, deployment and business adoption activities. Key duties and responsibilities Essential Skills:  Experience in DevOps tooling design, implementation, and architecture  Minimum of 4 years working as a DevOps engineer  Minimum of 2.5 years working within the Salesforce ecosystem.   Mandatory Salesforce certification:  Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer (if certifications are not acquired, obtain them within 2 months of onboarding)  Continuous Deployment/Continuous Integration implementation skills  Software configuration management skills  Experience with environment and configuration management  Technical Skills:  Knowledge of Git, Branching, and Trunk Based Development, Agile Principles, Pull Requests/Merge Conflict Resolutions  Detailed oriented and ability to document and execute runbooks  Scripting Languages such as Bash/Javascript  Experienced in using custom pipelines on major CI/CD platforms such as GitHub, Gitlab and Azure DevOps  Knowledge of Salesforce DevOps Tools such as Copado, Autorabit, Gearset  Knowledge of Software Delivery Lifecycle Management in Digital Transformation  Have an understanding migrating database schema / configuration records across environments  Have a background in L2/L3 Software Application Support  Have an understanding of environment management and building environments to specifications   Familiarity with any UI automation tool such as puppeteer, selenium etc  Willing to resolve queries from developers on developer environment and tooling  Willing to learn and understand Salesforce Deployments, Environment Management
