Senior Software Engineer (Developer)

Every member of our division –no matter our role or location –contributes to that mission.  To support this effort, we are seeking multiple Software Developers across a range of technology stacks and disciplines. These roles are vital in continuing to build, maintain, and enhancing mission-critical export & import systems used by millions of Australians. Key duties and responsibilities Skills & Experience We are looking for developers with experience in one or more of the following areas: Languages/Frameworks: •          C++, C#, .NET Core / .NET Framework •          Java / Spring Boot •          JavaScript / TypeScript •          React, Angular, or similar modern front-end frameworks   Preferred Skills: •          RESTful API development and integration •          Microservices and containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) •          Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GovCloud environments) •          Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices •          Version control using Git/GitHub/GitLab •            Automated testing and CI/CD pipelines   Key Attributes •          Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline •          Previous experience working on large-scale or government digital transformation initiatives •          Strong analytical and problem-solving skills •          Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, and security-conscious environment •          Familiarity with government digital service standards and accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG)
