Web/Pub APS5 Content Designer

THIS IS FOR AN APS 5 EQUIVALENT LEVEL POSITION:  The Web/Publication Officer (Content Designer) supports the creation, maintenance and continuous improvement of content across the Agency's website and digital channels. The role is responsible for developing clear, accessible and user-focused content that helps people understand information and complete tasks online. Working under direction, the Web/Publication Officer (Content Designer) collaborates with subject matter experts, policy teams, service owners and digital specialists to ensure content aligns with the Australian Government Style Manual, Digital Service Standard and accessibility requirements. The role contributes to improving the user experience by applying content design principles, maintaining content quality and supporting digital transformation initiatives. Key duties and responsibilities THIS IS FOR AN APS 5 EQUIVALENT LEVEL POSITION:  Create, edit and publish website content within GovCMS, ensuring content is accurate, accessible, user-centred and written in plain English.Assist with content reviews, audits and remediation activities to improve content quality, consistency and usability.Apply content design principles and Australian Government Style Manual standards when developing digital content and information architecture.Work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather information and transform complex material into clear, audience-focused content.Support website governance activities by maintaining content schedules, publishing workflows and content lifecycle processes.Contribute to user research, usability testing and analytics reviews to identify opportunities for content improvement and enhanced user experiences.
