ICT Front End Dev Web Developer

The Web Developer (Front End Developer) is responsible for developing, enhancing and maintaining secure, accessible and user-centred digital services delivered through the Agency's GovCMS Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment. The role focuses on implementing front-end solutions that provide a consistent, responsive and high-quality user experience across Agency websites and digital communications products. Working under limited direction, the Front End Developer collaborates with content designers, UX designers, publishers and business stakeholders to deliver modern web solutions that align with government standards and Agency objectives. The role contributes technical expertise to website development, optimisation and continuous improvement activities while ensuring compliance with accessibility, security and digital service standards.  Key duties and responsibilities Develop, configure and maintain front-end components and themes within GovCMS PaaS using Drupal, Twig, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and related technologies.Implement responsive, accessible and user-focused web interfaces that comply with WCAG 2.2 AA requirements and Australian Government standardsCollaborate with designers, content authors and stakeholders to translate business and user requirements into effective digital solutionsPerform testing, troubleshooting and optimisation activities to ensure website functionality, performance and compatibility across browsers and devicesSupport website releases, enhancements and maintenance activities using established development, deployment and change management processesContribute to technical documentation, development standards and continuous improvement initiatives across the digital delivery team
