Lead Data Analyst

Role/s: 1 x EL1 Data Analyst The EL1 Senior Data Analyst is expected to lead and undertake complex, technical work under limited direction that is compliant with agency policies, procedures, standards, and methodologies. The Senior Data Analyst will be lead, coach and guide a small group of Data Analysts working within a strategic change program that delivers important data assets and capabilities for the NDIA.  The role requires highly developed technical skills, curiosity and critical thinking in order to diagnose and solve problems and deliver high quality outcomes in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Supplier Briefing: A supplier briefing will not be held for this role Rate: The proposed rate should reflect candidate's skills and experience against the Evaluation Criteria. Candidates that do not demonstrate these criteria will not be assessed. Candidates should be aware that rates may be negotiated further as part of the selection process. Citizenship: As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, NDIA seeks Labour Hire Workers who are Australian citizens only. Successful candidates will be required to furnish valid evidence of citizenship during the Pre-engagement Check. Labour Hire Licence: Applicable for ACT, VIC and QLD: Labour hire licences are required in the state that specified personnel are being contracted. Key duties and responsibilities Active participation in small, multi-disciplinary teams, in the design, build, deployment and maintenance of data assets and data products in the NDIAs cloud data platform.Presentation of complex technical options, decisions and results tailored to audiences with different levels of technical and data literacy.Data wrangling, profiling and quality assessment of new or changed data sources and new data integrationsTranslation of business rules and requirements into coded transformationsDesign and prototype development of new data attributes and productsData validation testing including defect and anomaly remediationShared accountability for data products that are robust and error freeMaintaining code base and documentation standards, and sharing knowledge across analyst teams Note: the balance of responsibilities will change based on work assignments and business priorities)
