Job description

Change Managers coordinate activities and communication in order to ensure project objectives are met and sustained. They focus on the people aspect of change including changes to business processes, tools and technology, job roles and organisation structures. EL1 Change Manger The EL1 Change Manager is responsible for delivering organisational change initiatives effectively and efficiently and to support people leaders to lead their teams through change. Where required, it may represent the NDIA to advance the NDIA’s interests in cross-agency, inter-jurisdictional and other forums. The position will exercise a considerable degree of independence and will use a high-level of decision-making and judgement. The role will be required to lead and develop audience-led communication, engagement, training and support activities to support change strategies, engage with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure successful communication of change across the NDIA. This position is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex matters, taking a solutions-focussed approach to problem solving. Key duties and responsibilities Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Leading a specialist team to design and deliver strategic, innovative and inclusive changestrategies, communications and content that support the NDIA Corporate Plan objectives.Establishing working relationships with key stakeholders, including the Strategic Change Branch, Strategic Communications Division, Frontline Services enabling teams, ICT delivery teams, NDIA people leaders and external parties, which may include providers and members of the disability community.Delivering change management outcomes on schedule, within budget and aligned withorganisational goals and objectives.Engaging with stakeholders to conduct and deliver detailed and accurate change impactassessments.Identifying and mitigating resistance to change using proactive strategies and interventions.Understanding the impact of the change created by the Scheme Reform program and identifying overlapping areas and gaps, continuous improvement plans and strategies.Supporting business areas for effective communication with participants, staff and partners byensuring leaders have the information they need to perform their role as change champions.Identifying and escalating concerns or reputational risks associated with communications, media and marketing activities and supporting the mitigation of these risks.
