Test Manager

Role/s: 1 x EL1 Test Manager The EL1 Test Lead is accountable under broad direction to undertake work with a high level of complexity and/or sensitivity that delivers quality outcomes across the ICT support service functions of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). The EL1 Test Lead (Labour Hire) is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and where required will represent and negotiate on behalf of the NDIA to advance the NDIA’s interests across a range of forums.  Rate: The proposed rate should reflect candidate's skills and experience against the Evaluation Criteria. Candidates that do not demonstrate these criteria will not be assessed. Candidates should be aware that rates may be negotiated further as part of the selection process. Citizenship: As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, NDIA seeks Labour Hire Workers who are Australian citizens only. Successful candidates will be required to furnish valid evidence of citizenship during the Pre-engagement Check. Labour Hire Licence: Applicable for ACT, VIC and QLD: Labour hire licences are required in the state that specified personnel are being contracted. Key duties and responsibilities Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Own the end-end testing of complex projects including, planning, preparing and delivering testing through the various testing lifecycles including Unit, System Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and Regression Testing for product releases across more than one product Creation, management and ownership of Test Cases across all phases of the testing lifecycle Producing reports, interpreting data and analysing results using standard statistical techniques. Engaging in quality management and testing assurance activities through the preparation and review of test strategies, plans, accessible test scripts, and coverage matrices. Delivering impactful communication by translating technical and complex information clearly and concisely for diverse audiences. Building supportive, collaborative working relationships within and across teams, and engages with technical business areas to achieve outcomes. (NOTE: the key responsibilities of the role are based on current priorities and may change over time) Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a response to each criterion. Each response is limited to 3000 characters. Essential criteria 1. Implement Test Governance across the project Test lifecycle. 2. Proven ability to analyse requirements and provide test case traceability. 3. Thorough understanding of Test Phases and Test Types and a detailed understanding of the Defect Management process and an ability to define key metrics for each. 4. Ability to communicate and drive key test outcomes with internal and external stakeholders. 5. Experience in using generative AI and driving spec-driven practices to enforce design-first principles, as well as designing and implementing safe and robust integration of generative AI tools within the software testing lifecycle to drive efficiency. 6. Exposure to the Agile Delivery methodology. Desirable criteria 1. Exposure to Test automation tools like Selenium & Playwright. 2. Exposure to automation Framework like Cucumber. 3. Exposure to Test Management tools like X-Ray / JIRA / ALM.
