Senior IT Business Analyst

The EL1 IT Business Analyst is accountable under broad direction to perform very complex work that provides detailed technical and professional business analysis, system analysis, and design changes that align with the vision and strategic direction of the Agency. They will exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a leadership role working closely with stakeholders across the Agency to gain an in-depth understanding of business processes, technical infrastructure, technical services, strategic roadmap, and in the context in which the Agency operates. The EL1 IT Business Analyst will have considerable internal and external stakeholder interaction and will act as the conduit between the business units, internal stakeholders that will include the IT business management, solutions development and solutions implementation functional teams within the Agency and with relevant stakeholders from the digital health and health sector. An EL1 IT Business Analyst primary role is to understand the business needs and translate them into technical requirements that IT teams can implement. They ensure that IT solutions align with business objectives and improve processes. Key duties and responsibilities Requirements & AnalysisElicit, analyse, and document business and system requirements.Translate stakeholder needs into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.Maintain and refine the product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner.Stakeholder EngagementCollaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.Facilitate workshops and discussions to align on requirements and solutions.Act as a bridge between business and technical teams.Solution Design & ValidationContribute to solution design ensuring alignment with business goals and architecture.Validate solutions through testing support, UAT coordination, and acceptance sign-off.Ensure delivered outcomes meet business needs and quality standards.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and delivery practices.Support Agile maturity and promote best practices within the team.
