One (1) Senior Pega Business Analyst

Senior Pega Business Analyst assist with defining business requirements and workflows, including interactions with other business systems. They assist with the design of Pega applications that meet business needs. Key duties and responsibilities The Specified Personnel will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to: Preparing and facilitating regular workshops with stakeholders to identify and document business needs using design thinking principles and techniques; Preparing, facilitating and attending playbacks to ensure continual alignment of stakeholder needs and expectations; Participating in project team design workshops and facilitating walkthrough reviews of designs where applicable; Facilitating and attending specification walkthroughs, handovers and forums to assist in EBS Pega Platform and Cloud Pega Platform priorities and deliverables; Facilitating the triage, including the prioritisation, of system defects and issues; Supporting the section with internal and external Pega Quality reviews; Mentoring and upskilling staff in using the EBS Pega Platform and Cloud Pega Platform, with emphasis upon ensuring that sound user experience design principles are always at the forefront of EBS solutions; Supporting the operations of teams, including providing a clear sense of direction, setting work priorities and managing junior resources;  Contributing to the formulation and implementation of Pega Best Practice standards, components and governance structures; Embracing and contributing to EBS delivery methodologies and tools in support of the agency’s strategic direction; Delivering capability on the EBS Pega Platform and Cloud Pega Platform aligned to user story priorities and deliverables in both a project and business-as-usual support contexts; Leading a team of business analysts to drive efficiency & quality delivery, including the ability to conduct design review self-assessments and peer assessments. Managing stakeholders, with the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementations Driving design and documentation best practices to ensure consistency and reusability when delivering IT system solutions Coaching a team of business analysts to drive efficiency and quality delivery in requirements gathering. Identifying business needs, and design transformative solutions using design thinking principles and techniques Travelling interstate as required.   Specified Personnel will be expected to transfer skills and knowledge to departmental staff and ensure appropriate documentation is stored in accordance with the Department’s recordkeeping policy and practices. The Specified Personnel will be responsible for producing the following deliverables, including but not limited to: Documenting and reviewing specifications under the oversight of the Enterprise Business Solution Lead and Lead Pega Business Analysts; Undertaking relevant design deliverables as specified in the EBS Pega Quality Enablement delivery processes during design of all Pega application components; Evaluating, and reporting on feasibility and risks for projects including the documentation of design option papers. All deliverables performed by the specified personnel must: be performed or delivered promptly and without delay in accordance with the timeframes notified by the buyer from time to time; and meet the assessment and performance criteria set out in any monitoring and performance assessment processes notified to the seller from time to time. Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a one page pitch to address all criteria specified. This is equal to 5000 characters. Essential criteria 1. Holds a Senior Pega Business Architect certification with 3+ years of experience working as a Senior Pega Business Architect or Senor Pega Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst on the Pega Platform and/or Pega Cloud Platforms. 2. Demonstrated experience in applying the agile delivery methodology, including the use of project management and delivery management tools, whilst delivering large and complex IT system solutions 3. Demonstrated ability to identify business needs, and design transformative solutions using design thinking principles and techniques 4. Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, together with the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementations 5. Ability to drive design and documentation best practices to ensure consistency and reusability when delivering IT system solutions 6. Strong coaching/mentoring experience in requirements gathering, including the ability to coach a team of business analysts to drive efficiency and quality delivery Desirable criteria 1. Strong understanding of Pega methodologies and design concepts highly desirable. 2. Demonstrated experience with Business Process Management (BPM) and cloud-native technologies 3. Ability to lead a team of business analysts to drive efficiency & quality delivery, including the ability to conduct design review self-assessments and peer assessments.
