Technology Enterprise Architect

This role provides enterprise architecture consulting, governance and assurance services across multiple programs and technology domains. Key responsibilities include PSR reviews, architecture assurance, enterprise monitoring, Protected Domain uplift, Content Manager and Archive architecture, Finance ABC support, cloud and infrastructure architecture, technology roadmaps, target-state architectures, standards, patterns, RFIs/RFQs and architecture governance.  The position delivers shared architecture capability across the department, reducing technology risk, improving investment decisions, supporting project delivery and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and strategic direction.  Key duties and responsibilities   Provide enterprise architecture consulting services across diverse business and technology initiatives, ensuring solutions align with departmental strategies, standards and target-state architectures.  Deliver architecture assurance services throughout project lifecycles, providing recommendations to improve solution quality, interoperability and long-term sustainability.  Monitor enterprise technology landscapes, identifying emerging risks, architecture issues, technical debt and opportunities for optimisation.  Develop and maintain cloud, infrastructure and platform architectures to support scalable, secure and cost-effective technology services.  Create and maintain technology roadmaps that guide future investment decisions, capability development and technology modernisation initiatives.  Define target-state architectures, architecture principles, standards, patterns and reference models to support consistent solution delivery.  Participate in architecture governance forums, providing expert advice, assurance recommendations and decision support to stakeholders.  Collaborate with project teams, vendors and business stakeholders to ensure architecture outcomes meet organisational requirements and strategic priorities.  Identify, assess and mitigate technology risks, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose, supportable and aligned with enterprise policies.  Promote architecture best practice, continuous improvement and reuse of technology capabilities across the department.  Contribute to improved investment outcomes by providing evidence-based architecture advice that supports informed decision-making and value-for-money outcomes.  Deliver shared architecture capability across multiple programs and technology domains, enabling consistent governance, reducing duplication and strengthening enterprise-wide alignment.  Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a response to each criterion.
