Test Leads

The AEC is seeking experienced Test Leads, who are responsible for leading a small agile Testing team as well as being hands on with writing and executing Test Cases, writing the Test Plan and Strategy, and Test reporting. The Test Leads will work within the Indigo program and will assist the team to deliver positive outcomes for the program. Please note that these positions are at the EL1-equivalent level. As there is no option to select "EL1 Equivalent" in the field above, APS6 has been selected instead. The candidate must hold an active Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance prior to commencement. Key duties and responsibilities Role will be responsible for, but not limited to: •    Working within multiple development teams to understand the scope of product releases and work with the team to develop acceptance criteria based on business objectives, functional requirements, and service level requirements; •    Development of test plans, test scenarios and/or test scripts for a specific release; •    Undertake testing activities including functional, integration and regression testing for each release cycle; •    Report and track the resolution of issues as they are found in testing; •    Assist with issue triaging; •    Develop test reports;  •    Foster a positive workplace culture; and •    Perform additional responsibilities as required and directed by the relevant Director/Team Leader. Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a one page pitch to address all criteria specified. This is equal to 5000 characters. Essential criteria 1. • 5+ years dedicated testing experience and *3+ years leadership experience. • Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills. • Proficiency using tools such as Microsoft Test Manager, Jira and Azure DevOps. • Strong experience with Backend API testing / interface: REST, JSON, XML. • Strong experience with standalone .Net applications and websites. • Strong SQL querying ability. • Proven experience of working in an Agile team. 2. Submissions will be deemed non-compliant if they do not meet the listed criteria, if they exceed the 5-page limit or if the rates of submitted candidates are included in the PDF. Desirable criteria 1. • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science (or other relevant discipline). • Automation skills . • Strong programming knowledge.
