Senior Sr BA Frontier AI Business Analyst

APRA has initiated the Frontier AI project to deliver capability uplift covering people, process and technology, that will enable the organisation to respond effectively to Frontier AI related cyber security risks. To support this initiative, we are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the project team for an initial six-month engagement. Working across cyber security, technology, risk and business stakeholders, you will play a key role in analysing APRA's current-state capabilities, facilitating discovery and assessment activities, defining business and technical requirements, and translating complex cyber security concepts into actionable outcomes and executive-ready recommendations The role will require close collaboration with subject matter experts across security operations, identity and access management, infrastructure, networks, risk management, technology governance and third-party risk management. This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst with strong cyber security and technology transformation experience who is comfortable operating in complex, highly regulated environments, engaging senior stakeholders, and helping shape APRA's strategic response to emerging technology and cyber security risks Key duties and responsibilities Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, prioritisation and management activities across business and technology initiatives. Facilitate workshops, interviews and stakeholder engagement activities to gather information, build consensus and support decision-making. Analyse and document current and future state business processes and identify opportunities for business improvement. Develop and maintain business analysis artefacts including business requirements, user stories, process maps, use cases, impact assessments and supporting documentation. Assess solution options and provide recommendations based on business needs, risks, costs, benefits and implementation considerations. Work closely with project managers, business stakeholders, architects, vendors and delivery teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements. Support solution design, testing, business readiness and implementation activities to ensure successful delivery and adoption. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
