Job description

The Senior Project and Procurement Coordinator role exists to undertake the tasks required to support a major procurement project. The role will be expected to interact effectively across a diverse range of ICT experts, procurement, contracting, legal and commercial teams, and PMO (Project Management Office) functions. To be successful in the role, the Senior Project and Procurement Coordinator must be able to meet deadlines, sustain high quality outputs, marshal broad expertise towards common outcomes and have a meticulous approach to documentation & processes. The Senior Project and Procurement Coordinator will be expected to operate as part of the support structure of the Leadership team within Delivery Enablement. Within this role the successful candidate will have the flexibility to influence and utilise their expertise to enhance the overall outcomes of the program and the allocated project. Knowledge and Skills Required Mandatory Effective communication and stakeholder management skills Attention to detail and ability to produce documents or reports to a high standard Exceptional organisational skills and disciplined work approach Ability to adapt to continually changing demands and priorities Advanced SharePoint skills Advanced MS Office - including Word, Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint Minimum of 3 years' experience as Project/Program Coordinator Demonstrated experience working with multiple managers and broad stakeholders Candidates are expected to have worked within similarly large, complex procurements and projects, have relevant experience as a Program/Senior Project and Procurement Coordinator and have a proven track record of delivering under deadlines and amongst broad stakeholder groups The candidate must state their agreement to have or obtain (at Bureau expense) a baseline security clearance.  Desirable Experience within a large, complex multi-year procurement and/or transformation program Experience with Commonwealth Procurement Rules, the PGPA Act, Accountable Authority Instructions, and internal Commonwealth agency procurement, commercial and contract management policies and processes Previous experience in both the establishment and implementation of large procurement and contracting activities that lead to transformation outcomes; and Excellent project and procurement domain knowledge Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a response to each criterion.
