Program Manager

The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries requires a Program Manager to deliver upcoming and inflight ICT Projects and initiatives under the App Remediation stream of CapSTAR project. Reporting to the Director of the Cloud Engineering team, within the Cloud and Infrastructure Services Branch, the role will be responsible for delivering several high priority ICT projects into a modern Azure Hosting Platform (Azure Platform One) environment. Key duties and responsibilities Plan, manage and track budget and resourcing for the sub-streams and numerous projects in the Application remediation stream  Create and present PMPs and PCRs to the CapSTAR administration team  Oversee Program Manager resources, leading a team of 6 Project Managers across multiple projects (including Azure Platform Uplift, SSE implementation, Protected Uplift, High Risk Security remediation and others) - planning and tracking resource allocation, work prioritisation, milestone and status reporting, and budget expenditure for the Application Remediation stream  Reporting on all project status and milestones  Liaise with business areas including Imports, Exports and other business areas to ensure engagement on projects are tracking and delivering  Experience in work packages, combined with the ability to monitor progress, manage competing priorities, coordinate resources and provide clear reporting, is required to continue supporting the CapSTAR and minor projects successful delivery in this role.  Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a response to each criterion. Proven experience in overseeing the successful delivery of technology related projects, with high risk outcomes under tight timeframes. Weighting: 30% 2. Proven experience in assigning and delegating responsibilities, monitoring and updating project status, identifying and addressing risks and setting and adhering to project scopes, budgets and timelines Weighting: 30% 3. Proven experience in managing large corporate ICT transformation programs Weighting: 20% 4. 3+ years experience using Azure DevOps to manage Enterprise scale Cloud projects Weighting: 20% Desirable criteria Weighting 1. Experience working in Federal Government agencies will be highly regarded. Weighting: 40% 2. Experience managing ICT projects implementing and using automation principles and Infrastructure as Code. Weighting: 40% 3.
