Solution Designers

Role/s: 2 x EL1 Solution Designer The EL1 Solution Designer (Labour Hire) will provide specialist technical design expertise to support the delivery of complex ICT solutions across programs and projects. Working within multidisciplinary ICT delivery teams, the role will translate business requirements, solution architecture and technical requirements into detailed, implementable solution designs. The EL1 Solution Designer (Labour Hire) will work closely with solution architects, developers, engineers, integration specialists, data specialists, testers and business stakeholders to ensure solution components work effectively together and meet functional and non-functional requirements. The successful candidate will bring strong technical design capability, systems thinking and sound judgement, with the ability to develop practical solutions within established architectural direction, technology standards and delivery constraints.   Supplier Briefing: Not required   Rate: The proposed rate should reflect candidate's skills and experience against the Evaluation Criteria. Candidates that do not demonstrate these criteria will not be assessed. Candidates should be aware that rates may be negotiated further as part of the selection process. Citizenship: As part of the eligibility and suitability requirement, NDIA seeks Labour Hire Workers who are Australian citizens only. Successful candidates will be required to furnish valid evidence of citizenship during the Pre-engagement Check. Labour Hire Licence: Applicable for ACT, VIC and QLD: Labour hire licences are required in the state that specified personnel are being contracted. Key duties and responsibilities Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions producing detailed solution design documents and artefacts and conducting various walkthroughs and handovers. Define technical requirements and non-functional aspects of complex and high-volume enterprise solutions, including performance, scalability, resilience, observability, recoverability and security. Participate in governance and technical forums, including presenting and reviewing solutions for endorsement by Senior Executive in line with key architectural principles and patterns. Ensure solution designs follows defined Salesforce CRM architecture, product road map, best practices and organisational architectural principles. Work within an Agile product team, providing guidance and support as required to members including developers, testers, BA’s and production support. Describe and illustrate designs with appropriate justifications Work within scaled agile framework (SAFe), contributing to planning and delivery ceremonies including PI, ART, and sprint planning. Continuous improvement initiatives to deliver higher quality and faster outcomes   (NOTE: the key responsibilities of the role are based on current priorities and may change over time) Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a one page pitch to address all criteria specified. This is equal to 5000 characters. Essential criteria 1. At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a solution architect role delivering complex Salesforce projects 2. Ability to demonstrate a wide range of architectural knowledge across various salesforce clouds and industry solutions to support business requirements with strong practical knowledge and experience of Salesforce and Vlocity/Omnistudio. 3. Demonstrated experience designing non-functional aspects of solutions, including performance, scalability, resilience, observability, recoverability and security 4. Demonstrated experience in system integration designs and patterns, integrating Salesforce with other various technologies and solutions. 5. Ability to perform hands-on prototyping and proof of concepts for business to provide early feedback on proposed solutions. 6. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, including the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels and clearly articulate solutions and risks. Desirable criteria 1. Relevant Salesforce Architect certification(s) 2. Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiastic about accessible design & development will be highly regarded.
