Senior Data Analyst

This position will be key to maturing our data extraction, insights, and manipulation capabilities within the Data and Reporting Team. You will be required to undertake work that is complex and sensitive in nature and operate under a broad direction, applying sound analytical decision making to produce high quality outcomes. You will be responsible for collecting, storing, and interpreting data, as well as providing technical expertise to ensure the integrity of the data is met through quality and accuracy measures.  You will also demonstrate high level of technical skills to process, design, and present data in a meaningful way, including identifying patterns and trends to support Senior Executive Leaders make better business decisions. You will have strong skills in various languages including, but not limited to; Python, SQL, Power BI. Strong technical skills in Azure Databricks, Power BI. Demonstrated 8+ years as a senior data analyst in the environment and skills listed in the Technical Skills section. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and ability to present findings to both highly technical and non-technical staff. Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, and technical leadership in uplifting the team. Bachelors or Masters degree in data analysis, mathematics or a related field. Provide expertise and technical advice on complex data extraction, manipulation, visualisation and analytic problem solving and issues management. Partner with Data Engineers and Scientists to build foundational datasets that are trusted, well understood, and aligned with business strategy. Data Storytelling and Visualisation - Design executive dashboards in Power BI, develop infographics, present insights clearly, tailor visualisations for different audiences. Support reporting requirements by analysing, extracting, and publishing information on anomalies, insights, and trends. Contribute to innovation and data improvement strategies. Ensure quality outputs, including maintaining a high level of data quality. Build capability in a team environment through knowledge sharing. Continuously identify areas of improvement and ensure application of standards and best practices. Independently work under direction, with a concurrent need to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes. Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and provide evidence-based recommendations. 4. Demonstrated communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to present analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. 5. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, maintain data quality, and deliver outcomes within required timeframes.
