Senior Software Engineer (Developer)

Software Engineers have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team. Key duties and responsibilities Provide scope and sizing of work for inclusion in sprint cycles. Design and develop solutions to operational problems and issues. Manage and resolve defects as part of the standard development process. Manage and own assigned tickets through to completion. Develop technical documentation to capture solution design and configuration. Work flexibly as part of a team and independently, across a range of projects at the same time and across geographic areas (offices). Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a one page pitch to address all criteria specified. This is equal to 5000 characters. Essential criteria 1. Demonstrated experience developing secure, scalable AWS applications, including Lambda, EC2 and S3, database technologies such as DynamoDB or RDS and cloud security controls. 2. Proficiency in modern software development practices and technologies, including JavaScript or TypeScript, contemporary application frameworks such as React, Vue, Nest.js, Next.js or Nuxt.js, Python, and Git-based version control. 3. Ability to deliver effectively in a multidisciplinary Agile team, including estimating work, resolving defects, completing assigned tasks, communicating technical solutions clearly.
