UAT Test Manager

The ACIC is seeking an experienced UAT Test Manager to coordinate and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities across Australian state and territory firearms registries, Commonwealth agencies, and program delivery partners for The National Firearms Register (NFR) Program. The primary focus of the role is cross-jurisdictional and cross-agency coordination, ensuring stakeholders are aligned on testing objectives, schedules, test scenarios, defect management, data validation activities, business acceptance criteria, and implementation readiness.  The UAT Test Manager will act as the central coordination point for UAT, data migration validation, data reconciliation, and stakeholder engagement activities, supporting governance and reporting throughout the testing lifecycle. Key duties and responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking activities including, but not limited to: Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities across state and territory program and firearm registry teams, Commonwealth agencies, and delivery partners participating in the National Firearms Register (NFR) Program. Develop and maintain UAT strategies, plans, schedules, reporting, and associated testing artefacts. Act as the central coordination point for jurisdictions and agencies, ensuring alignment on testing objectives, timelines, acceptance criteria, and implementation readiness. Facilitate stakeholder engagement, testing workshops, working groups, and governance activities to support delivery outcomes. Monitor and report on testing progress, risks, issues, dependencies, defects, and readiness, escalating matters as required. Coordinate UAT data requirements, including test data preparation, environment readiness, and data availability across participating jurisdictions. Coordinate and oversee data migration validation, data matching, and data reconciliation activities to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of NFR data. Manage the identification, investigation, and resolution of data discrepancies, defects, and business validation issues. Support jurisdictional review, endorsement, and sign-off of testing, data validation, and reconciliation outcomes. Support implementation planning and operational readiness activities, fostering effective collaboration and information sharing across participating agencies and jurisdictions. The ACIC requires specified personnel to: Obtain the ACIC’s Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to commencement. Have an Australian Government security clearance (AGSVA) to the minimum of Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) or be willing to undergo and obtain and AGSVA NV1 clearance. As directed by the ACIC, complete a Deed of Confidentiality or Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to commencement or comply with processes required to engage the Specified Personnel under section 48 of the Australian Crime Commission Act (2002). Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a response to each criterion. Each response is limited to 3000 characters. Essential criteria 1. 10+ years demonstrated experience leading and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities within large, complex programs. 2. 5+ years demonstrated experience coordinating outcomes across multiple organisations, jurisdictions, or government agencies. 3. Experience developing and managing UAT plans, schedules, reporting, risks, and governance artefacts. 4. Experience coordinating data migration validation, reconciliation, or business data quality activities in enabling testing outcomes. 5. Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills. and ability to build productive relationships and drive outcomes in a multi-stakeholder environment. 6. Experience managing and negotiating competing priorities and dependencies within complex delivery programs. Desirable criteria 1. Experience working with Commonwealth, state, or territory government agencies. 2. Experience delivering testing activities for national or cross-jurisdictional programs. 3. Experience supporting large-scale data migration, data transformation, or information-sharing initiatives. 4. Familiarity with law enforcement, firearms, regulatory, or national information-sharing environments.
