The Data Analytics, Transformation, Automation & AI section is a dynamic specialised team responsible for supporting, uplifting and delivering reliable and quality ICT solutions for DCCEEW and its partner agencies in a streamlined and efficient manner. This section provides Enterprise Data Analytic platforms and services, AI solutions and DevOps services, and automation capability across the department through the implementation of industry standard frameworks and processes, and supporting software development and delivery methods, including, agile, waterfall and DevOps. It also empowers informed decision-making through innovative data analytics and AI solutions. By enabling the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data, the team enhance transparency, efficiency, and public trust in government operations. Our insights drive strategic decisions and support effective policymaking. Key duties and responsibilities * Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns and business insights.* Design, develop and maintain dashboards, reports and business intelligence solutions.* Engage with stakeholders to understand information needs and reporting requirements.* Translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for decision-makers.* Develop and maintain semantic models, datasets, measures and reporting artefacts.* Validate data quality and ensure consistency, accuracy and reliability of reporting outputs.* Investigate reporting issues, data anomalies and user enquiries.* Support testing, deployment and maintenance of reporting and analytics solutions.* Provide training, guidance and support to report consumers and business users.* Promote self-service analytics and business intelligence best practices.* Identify opportunities for improved reporting, automation and performance measurement.
