Manager Delivery Manager

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is seeking to engage suitably qualified and experienced Delivery Manger. The Delivery Manager roles will support the delivery of projects related to the Chief Information Officer Division IT Program Delivery initiatives across the AEC. The candidates must hold an active NV1 security clearance prior to commencement. Key duties and responsibilities The role will be responsible for, but not limited to: Support the IT Event Director by managing the day to day running of the implementation of event critical activities, including the management of assurance activities: integration testing data flows testing – end to end capacity and load testing disaster recovery testing business continuity testing management of Production verification testing management of any external assurance testing that we assess as a required Assist in the management of resources to execute deliverables as required. Contribute to effective decision making and risk mitigation providing critical, timely advice during events to ensure continuity of business operations. Including operational decisions as appropriate Ensure the effective and successful implementation and maintenance of the AEC’s IT event systems to ensure that the organisation’s assets are adequately protected against internal and external threats.  Prioritise the development effort to ensure that resources are appropriately allocated and efficiently managed during an event and at all other times.  Contribute to doctrine, election preparation and delivery activities in accordance with the election readiness framework, according to individual accountabilities and responsibilities.   Perform additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed from time to time. Criteria The buyer has specified that each candidate must provide a one page pitch to address all criteria specified. This is equal to 5000 characters. Essential criteria 1. • Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing ICT projects to deliver to time, cost, quality, and scope. • Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering test assurance activities under scheduled timelines. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with influence, effectively interpret and synthesise technical information, and interact with people with diverse backgrounds and levels of seniority. • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strategic relationships and manage expectations across varied stakeholder groups. • Ability to effectively manage high volumes of work and competing priorities, including the ability to adapt and respond to change and manage changing team and stakeholder needs. • Ability to work with limited direction and a strong commitment to working harmoniously within a team to achieve positive results and support the AEC’s strategic direction. 2.
