Junior Test Analyst

The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) Information Digital and Technology (IDT) team deliver a range of strategic, IDT‑enabled initiatives that require effective project governance and delivery capability. GRDC Information Digital & Technology (IDT) requires an Applications Test Analyst to support its Application and Software development functions. The Applications Test Analyst will ensure adequate testing capacity is essential to meet both current and future testing commitments within agreed timeframes. Maintaining this capability helps safeguard the quality and integrity of testing outcomes, providing confidence in the reliability of results and supporting the credibility of GRDC’s release processes and governance decisions. The contractor will work closely with the broader IDT team and align with GRDC's strategic priorities. Key duties and responsibilities The role of Applications Test Analyst delivers the suite of software development testing functions as defined in the specified capability requirements for the services RFQ: 1. Test Plans: Comprehensive documents that outline the testing strategy, objectives, resources, schedule, and scope of testing activities. 2. Test Cases and Scenarios: Detailed descriptions of individual tests to be executed, covering functional and non-functional requirements. Scenarios may include various user paths. 3. Test Scripts: Automated scripts for regression testing or performance testing, designed to consistently validate application functionality. 4. Test Data: Sample input data required for executing test cases, ensuring that all functional scenarios are covered, including edge cases. 5. Defect Reports: Documented findings of any defects or issues identified during testing, categorised by severity, along with steps to reproduce and screenshots if necessary. 6. Test Execution Reports: Summaries of test executions, indicating which test cases passed or failed, and an analysis of test outcomes. 7. Regression Testing Results: Documentation from subsequent cycles of testing after defects are fixed, confirming that issues are resolved, and the application remains stable. 8. Performance Testing Reports: Analysis results detailing how the application performs under various conditions, including load times and responsiveness.
