Principal Developer

Experienced full-stack developer with extensive AWS Cloud experience needed to join a development team as part of a large ICT project. The Senior Developer will significantly contribute to the development of robust and scalable water market systems on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in alignment with solution architecture documentation.   Key duties and responsibilities Form a key part of the WDH project delivery team, delivering specific components of the Water Data Hub system and/or working with an affiliated project team on a data access solution for another government agency.  This agency needs to access data from the WDH to meet their obligations as an enforcement agency under Part 7A of the Water Act 2007.Take responsibility for the detailed design and development of significant elements of those systems.Closely collaborate with the team's DevOps and Test specialists to ensure that CI/CD, and Testing are performed according to the Bureau Application Excellence Framework (AEF) development standards and other standards where applicable.Take responsibility for the performance, quality and testability of code produced.Collaborate closely with the project team and external partners or vendors to deliver applications to meet the project's milestones, sprint goals or product goals.Value teamwork and respecting other employees' views and differences, working closely together to achieve delivery objectives, and maintain high standards and performance as a team.Ensure adherence to architectural direction as captured in the Solution Architecture Document for the systemComply with Cyber Security practices for securing applications, environments and hardening as recommended by the Cyber Security team.Comply with DevOps standards and practices as required by the Bureau.Commit to APS Values, Employment Principles, Code of Conduct and the Bureau's Social Justice Strategy.Comply with all Bureau work, health and safety policies and procedures, and take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of employees, contractors and visitors who may be affected by your conduct.
