Job description
The maximum daily rate for this position is $1,350 (excl. GST) GUIDE Senior Communications and Change Manager Role summary The GUIDE Senior Communications and Change Manager is responsible for delivering practical change and program communications. The role leads program-wide communications, including targeted communications campaigns, newsletters, program updates and coordinated communications planning. It brings stream-level messaging into a clear, aligned GUIDE communications plan and supports stream-level change activities so data initiatives are understood, adopted and embedded by impacted business areas. Organisational environment APRA is halfway through the GUIDE program which is strengthening its data, technology, security, and delivery capabilities. GUIDE spans multiple streams and requires coordinated change and communication to support successful implementation and adoption across the organisation. The role works across the GUIDE program, partnering with program leadership, stream leads, business stakeholders and enabling teams to coordinate communications and deliver targeted change activities for data initiatives. It plays a key role in ensuring stream communications are aligned, stakeholder impacts are understood, and practical change support is in place for implementation. This role is critical to translating program delivery into clear, consistent value-based communications and supporting stream-level change activity to ensure effective communication and change outcomes. Key Accountabilities and Outcomes This role is predominantly focused on Program Communications (approximately 80%), while also contributing to the planning and delivery of Change Management activities. Program Communications Own the GUIDE communications approach and maintain an integrated communications plan that brings messaging into a clear program view. Lead the development and delivery of engagement messaging, newsletters, program updates, senior leader talking points and promotional materials. Ensure communications clearly explain GUIDE’s value, benefits, progress, timing, impacts and required actions for different stakeholder groups. Coordinate program-level roadshows, training sessions and forums, including the preparation of speaker notes, supporting materials and leadership messaging. Work with stream leads to ensure stream-level communications are accurate, timely and aligned to overall GUIDE priorities, business outcomes and stakeholder needs. Build strong working relationships with Internal Communications, stream leads, project teams, business stakeholders and enabling teams to support coordinated change implementation. Ensure stakeholder feedback and insights inform communications, readiness activities and stream-level change plans. Stream-Level Change Support Support the Program Change Lead and Senior Change Managers to deliver practical change activities across GUIDE streams, with a focus on data-related change. Support business readiness, adoption planning, training needs and implementation activities to embed new ways of working. Coordinate engagement activities so impacted stakeholders understand upcoming changes, expected benefits, timing and required actions. Align stream delivery, business readiness and program messaging to reduce duplication and provide a consistent stakeholder experience. Success Measures Stakeholders have a clear understanding of GUIDE priorities, scope, roadmap and outcomes. Communication plans and timelines are agreed, understood and delivered. Communication effectiveness is monitored and gaps in understanding are addressed. Workstreams receive appropriate communication support throughout delivery. Business areas are ready for change and transition activities are completed as planned. Adoption risks and stakeholder concerns are proactively managed. GUIDE capabilities and ways of working are successfully adopted and owned by the business. Desired experience and capabilities Demonstrated experience leading communications and supporting change across complex data, technology or enterprise transformation programs. Proven ability to develop and deliver integrated communication and engagement plans, including executive messaging, newsletters, program updates and stakeholder communications. Experience aligning workstream communications into a clear, consistent and outcome-focused program narrative. Strong understanding of change management principles, with practical experience across impact assessment, readiness, engagement, training and adoption activities. Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders to identify change impacts, manage adoption risks and support successful implementation. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, practical messages for diverse audiences. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and drive alignment across teams. Experience in regulatory, government, data or other complex enterprise environments would be highly regarded.
